Interview

Saturday, July 12, 2003

Kurt Andersen and actress Megan Mullally talk about the diverse and creative power of the human voice.

Actress Megan Mullally is best known as the character Karen Walker — the shrill, martini-swilling assistant on NBC's Will & Grace. She got her start on the stage and appeared in Grease alongside Rosie O'Donnell, and in 1995 in How To Succeed In Business with Matthew Broderick. With her band Supreme Music Program, Mullally recorded the album Big as a Berry in 2002, with cover versions of songs by Tom Waits, Lennon and McCartney, Randy Newman, Kurt Weill, and others.
