Caio Fonseca

This month, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC opened an exhibit of the abstract paintings of Caio Fonseca. In his work, Fonseca combines layers of rich, sensuous color, rhythmic geometric shapes and textured lines. The result is old-school but refreshing at the same time; a painterly virtuosity lead by a singular vision. Studio 360’s Benjamin Shaw toured the exhibit with Fonseca on opening day.
