Like his contemporaries Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, Solomon Burke is a soul music pioneer. Kurt spoke with him in 2006, after he released Nashville, an album that had him duetting with Dolly Parton, Gillian Welch, and other country stars. His new album is Like A Fire.
