She's been a singer songwriter since the New Wave era, and she got major recognition for her soundtrack to the 2000 movie "Magnolia." Her new album @#%&*! Smilers comes out next week. Studio 360’s Eric Molinsky has been following Aimee Mann's career since he was a kid.

I enjoyed this interview and found the comments around boxing to be very enlightening - her reference to someone honking a horn and you not letting it ruin your day or reacting with further forms of road rage ("keep your eye on the ball") were well placed. I had never thought of that aspect that boxing might bring to one's way of looking at the world and reacting to others. She approaches it in a more martial arts form with self control being the goal.
