"Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail" is the latest in the saga of the gun-toting grandma played by Perry in drag. The movies are hugely popular, but are often panned in reviews. Two critics, Melissa Anderson and Armond White, explain why their colleagues are missing out. Produced by Trent Wolbe.

WMFE is where I park on FM. Studio 360 is relatively new to me, and so far I really like many of your segments -- well done!
The piece today on Tyler Perry (Madea) is good! Let's me get to know a Tyler that seems elusive.
My wife and I are white -- part of the 6% who love Tyler Perry movies. Perry is a very good writer, producer, director, AND actor! Funny, poignant, and surprisingly clean (very important).
Thank you, Studio 360, for making your program downloadable (iTunes) and for making segments immediately downloadable MP3s -- I just downloaded the Madea segment to play for my wife.
