I found this broadcast lacking a very essential bit of information and criticism. These two individuals were laid off from a company with known dubious business practices. Many of these practices bankrupted retirement accounts and financially ruined families. I am sure, on top of this, that these two individuals left their jobs with a hefty severance. They then seemingly used this money to jump in the front of the line of those creative individuals, who do not have the cushion of being bankrolled.
I expected a more fair bit of reporting on your part. The segment seemed to treat these two individuals with far more respect and concern for their welfare than they deserved. I have been performing on Broadway for twenty years. My 401k and retirement portfolio has been cut in half by people who worked for companies like Lehman. Why should I applaud their "fortitude" to go out and make themselves anew when they have done it on the backs of hard workers like actual fashion designers, and other artists like myself?
