I'll See Your Lorrain and Raise You a Turner

The directors of the New Orleans and the Indianapolis art museums have a lot more riding on this weekend's Super Bowl than a couple of bucks in the office pool. After an arts blogger posed a challenge, they've each put up a treasured painting from their collections. The director of the losing city's museum will have to lend his masterpiece to the winner.

I love the idea of the art bet and had followed this story, but the best part about the radio piece was using the clip of Jim Henderson's call as Garrett's fateful kick sent the ball through the uprights. Jim Henderson is one of the great NFL play callers--darn smart and articulate to boot--and it was wonderful to hear the absolute, unbridled jubilation in his voice after his having called Saints games since 1986. Gives me goose bumps every time I hear it.
