MTV executive Bill Flanagan charts the rise and fall of the music industry in his rock n' roll novel Evening's Empire. As part of the hoopla around the display of Carl Jung's secret Red Book, celebrities are exploring their personal psyches on stage with an analyst in a series called "The Red Book Diaries." And Malaysian singer-songwriter Zee Avi performs - she got her record deal the 21st century way, singing and playing ukulele on YouTube.
