Looks like Alec has another career if he wants one...Really enjoyed this interview and his willingness to be open about his life. Great guest host...
Alec Baldwin is a wonderful interviewer,(Remember SNL--Schweddy Balls??) & really enjoyed his interview w/Mary Karr.
totally mesmerized by Alec and Mary's conversation. Like other's have said; Alec was a natural in this format...a male Terri Gross! Mary Karr was brilliant and fresh. Can't wait to get my hands on her book Lit. I identified with much of her story.
Laura Linney brought it home too for me. What would we do if we only had a year? Would that be a good thing to know?
And here I just went out for some groceries on a rainy night.
Who knew it would be so entertaining!
Thank you Studio 360
I didn't mean to slight Laura Linney or Mary Karr, who were both fascinating. Alec kept up with them every second of the way.
Alec Baldwin's hosting of Studio 360 was a revelation. He was never intrusive, but when he did talk he was always clever and insightful. And obviously, he's a great listener. I think Kurt should take a Toyota-trunk holiday three or four times a year.
I always admire and enjoy Mary Karr's candor and dark humor and Alec did a great job keeping up with her. I was surprised by his willingness to share personal stories. It helped me better understand his struggles and balance some of the unpleasant personal stories I have heard in the news. Keep pushing Alec, we're all a work in progress. (but few of us have your talents)
Alec and Mary - I could have listened to these two for two hours (easy). It felt like they had just scratched the surface of the conversation, when it was over. Alec - if you ever lose your day job... well I think you know.
Mr. Baldwin did a marvelous job today, showing real interest in his guests, exhibiting real knowledge of, and appreciation for their achievements. But he really needs to let Mr. Anderson out of that trunk!
Excellent job - love Alec Baldwin as a host. Awesome!

I rarely write comments but feel compelled to write to say that Alec Baldwin has an outstanding host personality. (No offense to Kurt Anderson) The voice, the attentiveness to his guest...I was listening for a while without realizing who it was, just knowing I had not heard the voice before and wanting to find out who it was because I wanted/want to catch the interviewer again. P-l-e-a-s-e have him again--talk the man into having his own regular show...and let me know when. Alec is a natural! Thank you, Karen
