Earlier this summer, we lamented the decreased flow of swag into our office in the wake of the recession. While many promotion companies continue to tighten their belts, some recent arrivals may forecast a recovery.

Below are some of our own uncommon economic indicators:

From the folks at Sesame Street, we got a cookie monster tote bag promoting the show's 40th season.

And, reminding us to “waste not, want not,” Frankie Negron’s new album, Independence Day, came with this bracelet:

But perhaps the piece de resistance came from kiddie rockers, The Jimmies, in support of their new album, Make Your Own Someday:

Thanks for highlighting the Frankie Negron album/bracelet thing. I heard folks from his label present at the Global Creative Economy Convergence Summit and I was very impressed by their presentation. Their understanding of the music business coupled with their concern for the artist and the environment made them a team to follow in my eyes. I ran out and ordered my flashdrive right after that. I must admit, I am as impressed with the music on the flashdrive as I was by the actual bracelet. Frankie's voice is smooth, emotion filled and the music was just perfect. All around a great purchase. I wish more artists and record labels were as responsible and innovative.
