Hipster Halloween 2012: Canine Edition

It's that time of year again: when American spend more that $300 million on Halloween costumes for their pets.

Is this an arts story?  An important economic indicator? The jury's out on both. But last weekend, Studio 360's Josh Rogosin felt called to cover the 22nd annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. Last year, an estimated 500 canines and 3,000 humans gathered in New York City's oldest dog run.  No word yet on this year’s numbers, but as you can see below, the dogs took this New York City tradition very seriously.

Does your dog (or cat or other pet) have a Halloween look? We'd like to add it to our slideshow. Send us your photo here.
