In the late 40's & early 50's, before TV was in full bloom and the internet was still a dream my heroines were Wonder Woman in the comics, and Brenda Starr, in a Chicago newspaper.

Movie studios insured that their stars always looked glamerous, like Rita Hayworth and Lana Turner, regardless of their private lives.

Some even married princes, like Rita and Grace Kelly did. Kate Hepburn, Barbara Stanwyck,Roz Russell & Bette Davis were take charge babes. There were lots of strong women in movies. Some, like Audrey Hepburn did good works. There

was no lack of roll models for me.

I was so happy to hear this whole program on my way home from work. I felt feelings of old coming back. I really loved every topic that followed after. Great work guys!

I just wanted to say kudos on an awesome show. Thank you for a great show on girls and what the experience of being a girl is like. I especially loved hearing from your daughter- thank you and her for portraying girls as interesting and intelligent! This girl/woman says "thanks."
