Randy Newman (Pamela Springsteen)

Randy Newman

In the last decade, Newman has made new fans writing scores for Pixar movies. But before that, he was confounding listeners with his cheerfully bitter piano songs. After a 9-year hiatus, he’s put out a new record and mixed in some politics too. Newman talks with Kurt about his career and plays live for us in the studio.

great interview with Randy Newman. Curt Anderson is one of the only interviewers bright enough to get people like Newman to open up. You guys are so hip...I turn on the show and hear things that I was wondering about or was interested in but never hear anywhere else. That book, Patterns in Architecture has been on my 'to read' list for years-very cool.--=Art
