Imagine it's somewhere in the middle of the 21st century and we've finally found a solution to our energy problems: mining the moon. This is the premise of the new movie "Moon," starring Sam Rockwell. Director Duncan Jones, who happens to be the son of David Bowie, talks with Kurt about his first feature film and the appeal of retro sci-fi.
MAN! I can hardly wait for this film. Jones likens it to film from the era of Alien and Carpenter's The Thing, but I say it harks back earlier. All the way back, at least, to sci-fi radio of the 50s.
I went on a binge of vintage radio sci-fi after finding this site (http://www.botar.us/Xminusone.html ) last year. Man. Some of the stuff is hokey, but most of it ages quite well. Less blowing stuff up, more character interaction. Wonderful. And Jones is taking up the mantle.
i loved the trailor and the interview on stuido 360.can't wait for the movie to be released in the theater.duncan jones has done a fantastic job directing this project(again i only saw the trailor).
I am extremely disappointed that the interview feature on this movie gave away a major plot element. Although there was a 'spoiler warning' issued, the reveal came so quickly afterward I barely would have had time to put my fingers in my ears. Not only that, but the fact that Sam Rockwell plays multiple characters, which is the context for the spoiler and is obvious from the trailer, could have been discussed *without* revealing why this is essential to the story.
I was really looking forward to the mystery of this movie, but not so much now that I know what I know. Please be more careful about this in the future, and if you really must 'give away' the plot, at least give your listeners more time to respond to the spoiler warning.

You CAN'T say 'Spoiler warning' and immediately spill the beans on a film's plotline. There was no time to get to the radio dial.
Seriously, as an Arts and Culture program host you should know better than that - next time announce at the BEGINNING of an interview that there will be a spoiler within a story !
Next time I'll know better to turn down that dial when your program begins !
