Kurt's brother David Andersen went to L.A. to pursue rock n' roll thirty years ago, but today he's one of the top piano technicians in southern California. Now rock stars are his clients, along with film composers and jazz musicians. Produced by Studio 360's Derek John.

While we thank the skies for our piano technicians and know they are deserving of any praise fit to be heaped upon them I feel it's impossible for a born musician to just make a permanent transition to techie. Although some manage to do both, for the really gifted it just gets in the way. For those who don't understand this all I can say is you don't understand the world of music making. My advice for what it's worth is if you're really any good stay where you are, be thankful of any gifts you can turn to profit and don't panic because of economic downturns.

The piano tuned down an octave was so beautiful and terrifying - which made for great and slight distracting radio while driving!

The craft of creating and maintaining instruments is too often overlooked in the music world. Thanks for creating this segment!
