Tony Kushner is one of the greatest living American playwrights. His plays like Angels In America, Homebody/Kabul, and Caroline, or Change, have earned him numerous accolades including a Pulitzer and multiple Tony nominations and awards. In December of 2003 HBO presented a 6 hour version of Angels in America, directed by Mike Nichols. And he's published several books including Brundibar, a book for children with Maurice Sendak, Save Your Democratic Citizen Soul!, and Wrestling With Zion: Progressive Jewish-American Responses to the Palestinian/Israeli Conflict, co-edited with Alisa Solomon.
