How to Download Real Player®

After reading these instructions, click here to download RealPlayer. Click on Download Free RealPlayer, the free, basic version.

Fill in the registration form:

  • type your name
  • type your e-mail address
  • select your country from the pull-down menu
  • select your OS (Windows 95, Windows 3.1, MacOS 8.1, etc.) from the pull-down menu
  • Attention Mac users: please make sure to download RealPlayer G2 for better sound quality
  • select your CPU (Pentium, 486, Power PC, etc.) from the pull-down menu (this information should be on a label on the front of your computer)
  • select the desired language from the pull-down menu
  • select your connection (if you're connecting from home, you're probably using a 14.4, 28.8, or 56k modem. If you're connecting from work, you may be using a T-1 or ISDN connection)

You are now ready to download Real Player. Click on the grey "Download FREE RealPlayer" button. You will see a screen entitled "Select Your Free RealPlayer G2." Make your selection and click on the grey "Download FREE RealPlayer" button. You will see another screen for downloading and installing RealPlayer G2, based on your typed specifications. Follow the instructions and remember to save the RealAudio install file on your hard-drive where you can easily retrieve it.

When the file has been downloaded, you will close your browser. Retrieve the RealAudio install file.
          
Double click on the RealAudio icon to begin the installation.
